Paloma cocktails are made with grapefruit soda, grapefruit juice, tequila or mezcal, and are served with a salty rim. It's like if a margarita and a salty dog had a love child. Palomas can be made on the rocks or frozen - a frozen paloma cocktail is sooo good in the summertime, and is also great with winter citrus. You can easily scale up this recipe too! Get ready to make pitchers of these for your next summer party!
What can I say, I'm a sucker for any of the citrusy cocktails - anything blood orange, grapefruit, or lime-based, you can bet your bottom dollar I'll order it. Some of my favorites among the frozen Paloma cocktail are the margarita - of course - the sours, a gin fizz. Oh wow, this list could just go on forever!
The frozen Paloma cocktail is super easy to make at home. You're basically making a boozy grapefruit juice combo. First, just juice your citrus, combine with tequila, and blend with ice.
And next, don't forget to serve with a Tajin rim!!!
Also, something to note, this recipe can also be made into an alcohol-free frozen Paloma cocktail by doubling the grapefruit seltzer and omitting the tequila.
