Brie-Stuffed Fried Zucchini Blossoms

Aug 11, 2019 ·

Here's a recipe for fried zucchini blossoms, stuffed with brie cheese. You fry the zucchini blossoms in a light beer batter and either simply serve them with a little bit of flaky salt. This appetizer recipe is very elegant and fancy with extremely minimal effort.

Brie-Stuffed Fried Zucchini Blossoms

why this is the best fried zucchini blossom recipe

I mean can we talk about this melty cheese pull!!! Fried zucchini blossoms are already a light, easy appetizer to make, and then with that hint of brie, it just takes the recipe into flavor maximum. But, since the slice of brie is not huge, this isn't overloaded with cheese to the point of it being distracting. It's just cheesy and melty enough, while the crispy exterior of the fried zucchini blossom remains the focus.

how to make brie-stuffed fried zucchini blossoms, step by step

First, you need to heat up the oil in a skillet until it's at 350F. (I use this candy thermometer when I'm frying!)

Then, in a bowl, you whisk together 1.25 cups of flour and a pinch of kosher salt, and pour in a can of beer. Whisk that all together, until there aren't any clumps.

If you are doing brie-stuffed zucchini blossoms, place the slice of brie inside the blossom before you dredge it. Slice the brie pretty thinly - about ⅛ in wide and 1 inch long ish. Cut off the rinds if you wnt.

Dredge the blossom through the beer batter, and then fry for 2 minutes each side in the hot oil.  Don't crowd the pan, and let the oil temperature come back up to 350F after each frying session.

Set to cool on a wire rack and eat while hot! Seriously - you have like 10 minutes max to eat them. Fried zucchini blossoms last for less than 15 minutes before they get stale. So eat it while it's hot!
